Harriet Gillett is a multi-discliplinary artist from East Yorkshire. Inspired by myths, nature, and the things she sees around her, her expressive works often use observational drawing as a point of departure, experimenting with colour and painting from memory to capture the emotion and character of her subject.
"These paintings are based on drawings I made of red deer I saw during trips around Scotland and Ireland, in a bid to capture their inquisitive and illusive nature."
Medium: Acrylic and ink on paper
Size: 38x48cm
